Bio
Paul Lecat is one of Chicago’s most celebrated commercial photographers, with over twenty years experience working with the country’s top agencies such as Leo Burnett, DDB, JWT, DraftFCB and many others.
Paul comes from a very creative family. His father, Walt Lecat, was an award-winning art director at Leo Burnett for over thirty years. Paul’s wife Bonnie is a widely recognized local artist and painter.
Although Paul’s photographic expertise covers many forms; tabletop, packaged goods, portraiture and others, his specialty remains shooting food. Paul’s love for food, cooking, and food photography extends far past the studio. He loves to prepare food and invent exciting and beautiful dishes which can be seen in his new gallery. Paul recently published his first cookbook entitled “May Street Mexican” which features some of his favorite recipes as well as his photography.
Located in a comfortable West Loop studio with a separate client area, Paul’s proximity to the Loop is convenient for all the major agencies. The studio is also located in a vibrant restaurant area and is close to all major transportation routes.
Outside the studio, Paul is a committed family man and outdoorsman. Weekends and vacations often find him at his northern Wisconsin log cabin fishing for (world record) muskies and walleye, snowmobiling and enjoying the beauty of the great outdoors.
